Checked my account today and noticed that the amount of £59.94 has been taken by your-money.tv. I must admit I have had pay day loans recently but I have never heard of this company until I saw their details on my statement. After reading a lot of posts online related to them I suspect they have been given my details by a pay day loan company as they have an email address I have only ever used for pay day loan applications. They also have my IP address which they say is to prevent fraud however this could have been gathered from me simply browsing a website. When I contacted them they said that I completed an application form on the 19th June 2011 (I didn't). They took payment from my account on the 1st March 2012 for a different amount to the amount stated on the invoice they emailed me the day before the payment was taken. I don't understand how they have all my details!!
I called my bank and they didn't seem surprised when I informed them about the fraud. I think maybe they are aware of this fraud already. They cancelled my card for me to avoid further payments being taken. I also called the Action Fraud line and filed a case against them.
One of the reasons I suspect it is the pay day loan companies giving out personal information is because when I was given the option to recieve any corespondence from afiliated parties via email, I was always very careful to make sure I didn't give permission to pass my details on to any third parties however since visiting their sites I'm now being 'bombarded' with emails from numerous companies.
Make sure you cancel your card ASAP.
