Complaint 84094 Details

When my PC tools spyware stopped working late last year I tried to cancel my annual subscription. However I was unable to login to my account, or contact the company - several hours were wasted in this endevour! When my credit card was debited in December I complained to my bank, who wanted more details - on returning to the site I was still unable to log into my account to cancel the subscription, but did find my way to a phone number. Upon calling PC tools they refused to provide a refund because more than 60 days had passed since the direct debit. It should be noted that I never recieved the email advise regarding approaching debit (as promised in the contract) and that I have not had PC tools on my computer since around September last year - none of this moved the person dealing with my complaint and request for a refund. They have indicated that the automatic payments will be cancelled, but I have yet to recieve the confirmation email promised....
