My name is Latonya Ross my contact information is (Personal Info Removed) and Im a victim of Government Grant scam this is my report. Man name Ben Tenison called from phone number (Personal Info Removed) said that he was calling from the government grants department. He said that I had been approved for a government grant of $50,000 dollars for school, to buy house, pay off debts, and do what I wanted to do with it. Also said that I didn't have to pay it back the government gives billions of grants to people like me all the time I was one of the people choosen for this grant. He took my bank information saying that the money will be deposited in my account on 7/29/11 at 11:27am. On friday 7/29/11 a man name Steven Froster called from the check dispatch unit from the government grnts department saying that my account could not hold $50,000 dollars it could only hold $30,000 so thay were unable to deposited the check. Their for he told me that I had to go western union to send them $300.00 but western union will charge me $310.00 dollars to do a money transfer in order for them to release my check. After that a women name Andrea called from bank of america from phone number (1-800-432-1000) said that my check was there but there was a mistake on the money I sent from western union I forgot to put my middle name on the transfer, I the transfer dont ask for middle name but I do have my driver license, SS#, and birth certificate could I use that she said no. Andrea from bank of america said that I needed to the grant department back and tell them to take my middle name off the check before 4:00pm cause the bank of america was going to close, I called the grants department back left message. Steven called and left a message saying he was on the phone with the bank thats how he missed my call to call him back. I called back and the grants department never returned my call after that.
