I heard about a marketing trial on the radio, where companies give $1,000 to consumers to spend from a gift card and they study what the consumer purchased. I called the number and was asked a few basic questions and told I qualified. As an added benefit, I would get a 30-day free trial offer from freeshipping.com. If I didn't want to use it, w/i 30 days, I could call them and cancel. Free shipping would also provide a $15 rebate. I called free shipping to cancel w/i the 30 days, but they said that they would not provide the rebate unless I made a purchase thru freeshipping.com's website (which I was not informed of when I made signed up to receive the $1,000 giftcard). I did not intend to spend money on a purchase thru their website and wanted to cancel the membership, which they did, but I did not receive a rebate. When I received my "$1,000 gift card", I was VERY unhappy having been scammed into being given access to a coupon site where I can download coupons onto a card.

  • I had the same thing happen to me, and the sad part is I really needed the help with that. I'm a working mother trying to get by and JFS will no longer help my family food wise because they say we make to much. even with us living paycheck to paycheck and some bills having to be late just so we can get food for our son, I don't see how we make too much. So yes, even the $19.95 they scammed me with, hurt badly!
