I received a letter with "Walmart" in the return address area, no address given, but letter was postmarked 'Canada Post postage paid lettermail 7297850'. Inside was a check for $3980 (same as other reported checks) from Key Bank National Association, Elkhart Indiana, a real bank. The check was supposed to be from Vestil Manufacturing Corp., a real company in Indiana. I checked these things online. There was also a letter from 'Prize and Award Presentation, Oxford Financial Group, 115 Broad Street, Oxford UK OX1 3AS. Searching this on the internet provided no clear results except for a link to a website http://www.data-wales.co.uk/nigerian_lottery.htm with a long list of possible company names used in emails for fraud. Telephone # at top of letter 1-289-892-2849 is located somewhere in Ontario, Canada calling area. Letter says attn: my name and then tells me I and 20 others won a shared $3 million pot, etc. Claim agent Mr. Charles Ray at above phone #. I will not be calling it, of course.
