I saw an ad on EveryCarListed.com of a vehicle for sale for $4500. Tryed calling the phone # listed, but it didn't work, so I did the email contact via the online form. Seller claimed to be in Japan until July 21, 2011, but had to sell this vehicle for 'personal' reasons before returning to the States. The vehicle was stored in a container on an Air Force base, in Boisie, ID. I was to use Google Checkout to sent money to Joseph Doria, and he would ship the vehicle to my front door via military shipping service, no cost to me.
Google Checkout was to hold my funds until I received the vehicle and inspected it to my satisfaction and released the payment.
The money had to go thru a Liberty Reserve account which cost me a few hundred dollars to transfer.
I started the process to get funds from my bank to Liberty Reserve, and had to do a wire transfer thru Bank Of America in California using Enternova in Singapore for exchange process. I sent a cashiers check for the amount required, but Entelnova 'held' the funds up for weeks waiting for the check to 'clear'. While that was waiting, I looked more into Google Checkout and learned that they do NOT use this process, they only use Credit Card for purchases.

My funds finally were released by Entelnova and went into Liberty Reserve account. At this point, I decided this was a scam, but now my money is in Liberty Reserve in Costa Rica, and didn't have a way to get the money back to my USA account. After time and study, I had to do another expensive wire transfer to get the funds back to my local bank.
I was fortunate that I used a cashiers check, which allowed me time to investigate further into Google Checkout, or I would have lost the full amount. As it turned out, I only lost a few hundred dollars.

Those trapped in this scam should contact their States Attorney General to seek help.
