On 02/08/2012, I placed an order with AC WHOLESALE, LLC, dba BEN FRANKLIN.COM (http://www.benfranklin.com/) for a CARON-The Ultimate Knitting Machine Deluxe (Benfranklin.com product number BF00072857-001), and a BERNAT-Big Ball Marine (product number BF00060249-001). On 02/10/2012, $168.15 was paid in full to Benfranklin.com by my banking institute.
Five days after I placed the order I still had not received any shipping information so I called Benfranklin.com’s customer service number (866-733-2363) and left a message, as this is the only option they give, I also sent an email to the customer service department requesting shipping information. I still had not had not received a reply after a full 24 hours, so I called and left another message and I sent another email.
Finally on 02/15/2012 seven days after the order was placed and 72 hours after my request for shipping information I received and email from customer service representative Kathy stating that one or both of the items that I order were placed on back order and the estimated ship date is 2/25/2012. Kathy did not give me the option to cancel the order; however, I do not want to wait over a month to receive the order, so I called and emailed customer service back and stated that I would like to cancel my order due to the extensive wait for the back order. It is has now been 72 hours since my cancellation request and I still have not received a reply nor have I received a credit to my bank account. Even now Benfranklin.com shows those two items that I ordered as being in stock and ready for shipping, I feel this is false advertisement considering they do not have the items.
