They advertised free online tax filing. I filed three tax returns for my children and $94.85 was deducted from each refund through their bank accounts via direct deposit. When I called, the representative told me if I included the state return, there is a $29.95 fee and if I selected direct deposit, there is an additional $64.90 in fees (per each return). Ridiculous! I thought it was free and never would have filed an EZ form online if I knew there would be a $95 charge! (Let alone three EZ forms!!) What can I do to fight this and save others from making the same mistake?
