Signed up for a website that required age verification. The text on the screen stated that my credit card would NOT be charged. I completed registration and immediately checked my "account information". It stated that I would be billed $49.98 in 3 days at the end of the trial and then again every month. This was not part of the deal, so I proceeded to have the account cancelled. When trying to complete cancellation, my account showed subscription to three websites, only one of which I signed up for. I also learned that I had already been charged "processing fees" ($1.25/each) for joining these three websites and that I was scheduled to be charged approximately $50 in 3 days. I cancelled all three websites. This morning five separate charges appeared on my debit card totaling $152.10. These charges were unauthorized.
