I purchased an engine control module from Auto Computer Exchange in May, 2011. It fixed the problem I was having (bad ECM). However, after about 3 months, I began getting a flashing overdrive warning. The car ran fine and everything worked properly except it would not shift into overdrive. The repair manual said it was eithter the overdrive solenoid, the wiring or the ECM. I got another ECM and it fixed the problem. The car has been running fine for about 6 months with ECM # 3.

I sent ECM # 2 back to Auto Computer Exchange for repair under the one year warranty that is clearly stated on their web site without any conditions. They now tell me that the processor is blown and the ECM cannot be repaired. This is odd since the processor had no difficulty running the engine. I suspect the problem is only with the transmission control circuit and these idiots just don't know how to fix it. As I asked the guy that called me, "What difference does it make what the problem is with the ECM? A one year warranty is a one year warranty.":

He said he was sending the ECM back to me, that I would receive no refund, and he hung up.

This is a very disreputable company and I strongly recommend not dealing with them.
