I got an email today, 2/9/12, from my bank saying in the subject "irregular debit card activity." Signed into my bank account online and saw "CHECKCARD NEW SPORT SHOP LANSING MI ON 02/08". I couldn't recall giving my debit card number out anytime soon for anything. Google'd the company and got the company website. The lady who picked up said they have been getting frequent calls about this and that they are New Sport Shop in Illinois, not Lansing. She suggested calling my bank and reporting it. I yellow paged New Sport Shop in Lansing and none exist. No other transaction has taken place since. I did use my card today not realizing there was an unauthorized transaction processing from yesterday. My bank has to send an affidavit and will cover the charge and I'm getting a new card. It sucks because I had that number for a long time and knew it by memory. ughh! Hope they get caught soon.

- My wife got the same thing on feb 9th for $6 bucks. We called the bank and and they said, "why are you worried about such a small amount?" LOL. Whoever these fraudsters are, they are really slick.

- No more charges yet. I have a new card now. My bank didn't send anything in the mail that needed signature so I called them and they said that nothing was needed to be done on my part and that they have put the money back in the account.
