  • I did some investigating into grabswag after being ripped off by these cronies and i found out who was behind this scam. GrabSwag.com, is a scam, partnered with a company called IMM Interactive/Copeac which is owned by Mike Krongel, which is a scam affiliate network that sends consumers to these sites via fake news articles and gets paid for it. If you click on one of the fake news sites that they are running below, and in internet explorer use webpage privacy, you will see emediatrack.com, on the privacy, which is owend by IMM Interactive/Copeac ( This is how I found out who was behind it). IMM Interactive and Mike Krongel has duped consumers out of millions of dollars says the FTC, by running fake news sites, like the one linked below, and they are currently being sued by the FTC, for false advertising and deceptive marketing practices, for using fake news websites like the one linked below. Here is a link to the lawsuit: http://www.ftc.gov/os/caselist/1023232/index.shtm

The FTC is trying to stop them but apparently can't. Lets get these people shut down!!! Report GrabSwag and IMM Interactive/Copeac, to the FTC, Attorney Generals, BBB, IC3, FBI and lets get a class action lawsuit going against both of these companies scambook!!!

Here is one of their fake news sites they are behind, which if you do webpage privacy in internet explorer on the grabswag page, you will see " emediatrack.com" which links you straight to Copeac/IMM Interactive: http://www.consumerinfonews.com/deals-of-the-century/index4.html

Here is a link to the IMM website and the grabswag site that says free, yet charges you $99 : http://www.imminteractive.?com

  • Stephanie has been spamming this board for weeks it appears putting up my information.
IMM Interactive does not own Grabswag, they are an advertiser within our network just like they advertise in google or facebook.
"Stephanie" is someone within the advertising industry, probably the people behind bidrack.com Stephanie should i list everyones name? how about all your company names i got a list of over 100 of them. There are many others involved in their scam. The FTC issue against IMM Interactive is due to their advertising with us.

it also looks like grabswag reps are active on this board answering complaints, you dont see that with bidrack or dealday or any of the other names they moved on to

  • I am not spamming this board, I am letting the people know who is profiting off this scam. I am confused as to what your post is referring to. It looks like the companies you had mentioned, are the same type of companies as grabswag, and are most likely scams as well, that are ripping off consumers. The company in question GrabSwag, is the company that had charged me 99 dollars without my consent, not those other sites, and i have been unable to get my money back!!!! How do you compare your company to google or facebook? That can very well be the funniest thing I have heard in awhile. The FTC issue, as written, is in regards to your company using fake advertisements, like the one I got duped by ( hence being suckered in by your company ), and luring the consumers to websites like grabswag, through fake news site's. The consumer news info site, is just the type of site that the FTC says your company uses to dupe consumers, and that consumer news site was linked to emediatrack, your company. This is all public information, its called google, the company you compared yourself to. If you see all these people complaining about a company rippping them off, why would you continue on doing business and profiting off them?? I highly doubt, if Google or Facebook new a company was running a scam, they would allow it continue through them, but your company isnt google or facebook, far from it. Whether you own grabswag or not, you are profiting off there illicit activity, and that is all that matters. You are also marketing there website, through your company, using fake news sites, the exact news sites that the FTC filed suit for against your company. If you really care about consumers, and not ripping them off, you would not do business and profit off a company like grabswag, and if you do, then you are as guilty as them, no matter how you put it.

  • To add to this, I will gladly speak with you, and the representative of the federal trade commission that I had filed a complaint with, about this issue at hand, as I was informed this was against the federal trade commission policy of acceptable marketing practices. You will also hear from me, as I am the lead plaintiff with others, in class action lawsuit being filed, as well as my complaint filed with the federal trade commission, against this.

  • Stephanie,

Your posts striked me as odd for a random consumer to even have that knowledge. Just like any ad network we do police the advertisers using it and the affiliates as well, which has brought me to this site, i have been monitoring grabswags complaints and have noticed a decrease in their volume which leads me to believe they are working on the issue, however if they dont stop we will be forced to pull them as an advertiser. We have many strict policies on how affiliates promote their offer as well as how advertisers promote theirs.

I would love to help you gain your refund with grabswag, to my knowledge they have been actively addressing any issues that pop up as well as solving the underlying issues, if they haven't solved yours email me at mike at imminteractive and ill try to help you out, or call your credit card company and request they charge your purchase back to the merchant and initiate a chargeback request. I was told grabswag added clearer terms and conditions by the credit card entry so people are clear on what they are putting their credit card in for.

If grabswag or any other clients of ours create issues and do not address them and more importantly eliminate the underlying issues we will cut them off our network, just like google, facebook, yahoo or any other ad network like aol.com, adsonar, etc.. would do. If you realized it or not you probably clicked on an ad from one of these billion dollar companies, its actually easier for them to stop bad ads than it is for us, as we just sit in the middle but cant see whats behind or in front of us, i.e. the actual ad on facebook that started you the consumer to click. Its like a 3 car accident, where car one stops short, car 2 is able to stop but car 3 just rams them both.

If you want me to help you get a refund email me and ill try to help you out, call your credit card company and dispute the charge or do whatever else pleases you.

  • Hey Mike, I had seen this post from Elizabeth, if you truly had nothing to do with GrabSwag then why would you be refunding peoples money?? I will not be emailing you as I have already taken this issue up with my bank, and they are working on attaining me a refund. I have also brought this issue, with others, to an attorney to file a class action lawsuit against you and your scam, as well as working openly with the FTC to investigate this scam, god its good when your brother works for the FBI :)

Your response to me, sounds like a 3 year old has written it. I have no idea who adsonar is, but have heard of AOL, Google, Facebook, and those companies are NOTHING like yours. They are ran by legitimate, well educated, successful individuals, not by a bunch of baffoons like yourself, who profit and make money off of ripping hard working, good people in this country. You should take a hard look at yourself in the mirror, and know that you have alot of bad things coming to you, for the way you conduct business. I have found out alot more information about you, and your illegal online companies, and it is NOT a pretty picture, you should be disgusted and ashamed of yourself.

Enjoy the short term, paper profits you see today, because you are going to make nothing off this company, once the FTC comes after you again!!!

  • Post by Elizabeth of you admitting to running this scam:

Mike Krongel from Grabswag has offered to pay back the money and would like me to let Scambook know when that happens.

I had to change my credit card # because I was so fearful they would take more from my account.
If they return the money, I will gladly report to Scambook.
    Thanks, Elizabeth

  • There's a Mike who works for grabswag who has been commenting on complaints trying to help those consumers out. You're such a super sleuth you couldnt figure that out? He is not me. Since you are confusing consumers in to thinking i run or own grabswag and can help them you're making it more confusing for them.

I offered to help you out since you decided to post my name.

your bank will help you out, just like i said in my post above.
