On November 29, 2010, I enrolled with BidMac.com in order to participate in the penny auction site.
On a few ocassions, I tried to win bids on various items, but I only tried this maybe 3 times.
Based on the information regarding the biding procedures, it became apparent to me that something wasn't on the up and up. There were frequently 10 to 15 bidders on a $25 gift certificate and the bid was fast approaching the certificate amount. This didn't make any sense to me, so I quit logging in.
Today, July 26, 2011, I was going to go to the Bidmac website to request a refund of my unused bids, approximately $75 or so dollars.
This is when I discovered that Bidmac was no longer a viable site, thus I'm following thru by filling out this form.
I hope this submission will help others that have fallen victim to this type of scam tactic.
