Purchased a 65" Mitsubishi projection television not knowing the ongoing problem Mitsubishi has had with the Texas Instrument chip in their televisions. From all of my research so far there are complaints of the white dot syndrome going back as far as 2006 so Mitsubishi was aware of the problem with the chip at least at that time but still continued to sell the televisions knowing there was a problem. I am hoping my state Florida has the implied warranty of merchantability where I can ask for a breach of contract from Mitsubishi. My set is out of warranty and Mitsubishi makes that clear when they talk to you on the telephone. They shouldn't be selling televisions with known problems without a disclaimer for the consumer to decide if they want to buy the set anyways. The consumer should have protection by their state or even government for these deceptive practices. If I don't get any relief from Mitsubishi for the white and black spots on my television I plan on taking this to small claims court.
