Signed up on a date site (I have done this on a legit one once before..zoosk.com...lots of ugly people..no offense haha!) and immediately started getting messages and winks. They chatted and lead me on until i paid and then no communication.
I got fooled but I don't care. . .I just wanted to get laid by a real person who wanted the same thing. . .a la www.plentyoffish.com (no, I am not an employee or getting paid to post this. . .I drive a truck for a living now...and yes, I have had jobs that required my university education as well:)
I filled the form out to cancel and got a robot reply from "johnny smart." obviously an alias and also not a real person. It was adressed to "my last name" and not my first name. ie. if my last name was watson. . . .it would say, hi, watson. as if a real business would ever allow an employee to adress a client that way. I have worked in a call center for a major bank here in canada and if we sent an email adressed like that. .FIRED! (obviously)

I also noted and commented that one of the girls sounded british. . .then I read a comment on this site that says the same thing. I should have known..I lived in UK for 2 years!

I originally started to get suspicious when they would not let me ( a guy) post a pic of myself with my shirt off. hey, I work out and it shows haha! they said that it did not meet the sites regulations. Meanwhile, here I am looking at pictures of naked women, no faces, just porn shots (yeah, shame on me. ..I don't care, i put my pics up...I look good! haha!) yes I can still see the humour:)
$50 bucks is not a lot to one person but if this site is listing almost 400 people. .then there are lots more that are too embarrassed to post etc. thats some serious coin.

Anyway, I am posting so people can have some entertainment from this as well as to put in my vote so it gets counted. I really hope these guys get nailed for fraud, because it is fraud.

here is the second email I got back as I signed up again and used another email. .same thing. yep, I really wanted to show how this works:) It is exactly the same, word for word except my name. . .it should have been addressed Mr. etc. .. by the way, they run this same scam from craigslist etc. I have only read a few of the other complaints but I am sure it has already been mentioned.

I called Visa and the lady was very helpful. she gave me the date-support.com number. . .not able to be called (what a surprise!)
