In early December I was contacted by Brad Lewis from All City Management Group, supposedly located in Kansas City, MO, indicating his company was representing a corporate buyer and was interested in purchasing out my Time Share in Cancun, MX. In provided me with a sales proposal . I did the limited research that I could, BBB, web inquires and found not red flags. Mr. Lewis informed me there would be no funds due from me until the actual closing, transfer and I had received my proceeds from the sale. He indicated that the escrow agent handling the closings would be in touch. A few days later I received a call from Mike Riley at Realty Executives Escrow, located in Madison, WI. Mr. Riley informed that the transfer would go forward and the closing would take place on January 6, 2012. He provided me with access to view the escrow funds that the seller had deposited with his company to show the funds are available and upon completion of the sale would be disbursed to me. 3 days prior to the closing I received a call from Brad Lewis telling me that the Country of Mexico will not allow for the transfer until I pay the required transfer fees and income tax to that country. Mike Riley also provided me with very convincing documentation to support this requirement as well as notifying me that I also had to pay for a notary and transfer agent in Mexico to cover their expenses. I was to wire $5568 to a bank account in Mexico. I have all supporting Documentation. I was told that the seller is willing to reimburse me at the closing for those fees. I was provided with a new escrow balance sheet showing the increase of funds in the account that the seller had already deposited. I was told due to this delay my closing will not happen until 1/20/2012. That time has come and gone and still no closing. I have confronted the companies and they deny any wrong doing and continue to sting me along with a promise of a closing. I have done additional research now and have learned that this is a SCAM by both companies praying on the desire of unsuspecting victims who desperately want to get out of their time share. I have contacted the FBI Internet Crime Unit and filed a report as well as contacted the Attorney Generals office for states where they do business, however I am doubtful the are actually located in either state. A search of their web domain revels that it was created out of Scottsdale, AZ and the number in no longer in Service.
I want to make sure that other families to not fall victim to these two companies and the Scam the are running.
