I am not a regular online shopper and I try to investigate all sites before entering card information even if I think I can trust it. The ONLY time I have entered my credit card number online in the last, I'd say, year was to get my credit score. I know I can get my credit report for free annually from all three major credit bureaus, but one or two of them require you to sign up for additional trial services to get the score. I did this on Monday, 01/16/12 calling back that night to unenroll, and on 01/22/12 ARCOT inquired on my account balance related to that card. On 01/23/12 I received a call from my bank's fraud department asking about some pending charges from a hotel in Vermont and via the internet from GALAXIA. Thank fully, the bank stopped the pending charges and nothing has actually been charged to my bank account yet. The bank has instructed me to file a police report if anything does go through. The card is no longer valid and they are sending me a new one.
