While checking my email I received a "critical damage about to occur" pop-up indicating my hard drive was infected with "multiple viruses" and I needed to download the 2012 Microsoft XP Security System immediately. I could not proceed with anything else. I was sent to the Microsoft website, & after purchasing the System, was given both an ID number and the License # required to activate the software. I'm normally highly skeptical of things like this but this appeared to be legitimate start-to-finish. Just checked my credit card statement and discovered this fiasco.
