We accept credit cards at our place of business. We got a call from a female
posing as an employee of the company that we have our terminal though. She
claimed that the rates were to change next month and that they may have charged
us the wrong amount. She wanted copies of our last statement to check this out.
We promptly scanned our last statement and emailed it to her. Well, she needed
our fed ID number to verify that it was infact us. We refused, then called the
company that we deal with. They said that this is just away for competaters to
get our information. I am more concerned that she may have been trying to get
our information to steal our money from our bank account because the credit card
company uses our checking account to deposit our money and to deduct their fees.
Here is the person's information that called us. Crystal 866-301-5564 extn 1311
email address [email protected]. She may be trying to get new customers
or she may be trying to wipe out our checking account either way, she is lying
in order to get our information.
