Charged me £74.95. phoned them up and they cancelled my account. Eventually got a refund for half of the money.

These people allow the adverts.
Then get on to your bank immediately, stop all future payments and request that your bank overturn and refund the payments as you did not authorise payment. Be firm!!! If necessary, cancel your credit card. If necessary ifnd another bank if yours won't help. Contact trading standards in your country and complain.Their number CALL THEM ON +44 0808 168 3684. My bank told me they could not stop the monthly payments, unless I canceled my bankcard, what is rather inconvenient. Maybe UK and USA banks differ on what they can do? I guess some of the complaints are posted in the USA (I am UK).
I gave it a try to have this company cancel me voluntarily from their list, and, as I said in my first report (filed 0n Jan 18, Zingha).... with some tenacy I managed to do that by phone (I hope). I now have confirmation by email from them that it is canceled and a 'cancelation code'.
For now I gave it a try, believing their gain is in this first one or two months before people realise, just breaking the law slightly and cleverly. But I would like to know if other people have experienced whether their confirmation that it is canceled indeed stops it or not... !!!
If they still take money, I will have to cancel my bankcard after all.
