Like many of the other complaints, I was also scammed by Global readers. I did a stupid survey for them and they claimed that I had won a $1000 shopping spree, and so I get a call claiming that I won and that it would be sent to me along with some magazines which they didn't inform me would be charged to my account for a total of $998. This is ridiculous. I sent an email to a man named Mike Hein telling him that I was unaware of this magazine subscription and demanded a refund. I got an email back from him saying that the order was cancelled to my magazine subscription and the refund was being set in place. This occured in november. Its January already and no refund has been taken place and two sets of payments have been taken out of my account and now have lost $110. I sent multiple emails to Mike but so far have not gotten any response back. I have hardly any money in my account and am trying to live off what I have. I will do anything to get my money back and get this magazine subscription canceled.

  • Hi Casey, I just posted an update to my situation. Apparently a complaint I filed somewhere got to them because I got a voicemail from a Heidi who apparently works there. FYI, I filed complaints with the FTC, Do Not Call, BBB, and Atty General (for Florida, since that is where mine said they were calling from). I did not get a good call-back number though. So now I'm dependent on her calling back. How did you get the email for this Mike Hein?
