I was sent to the GrabSwag.com website after responding to a Craigslist add that advertised a $125.00 Nike E-Gift Card. The seller apologized for not returning my e-mail earlier and provided a link GrabSwag.com saying "I just sold mine but I got it from here, here's a tip. Bid 4 seconds before the auction ends" After clicking the link I ended up at GrabSwag.com and was offered 10 free bids - I backed out and was then offered 25 free bids if I signed up.. FREE - It asked for name, account name, password than CC info Absolutely NO readme or disclosures so it seemed as if the website would need to charge me per bid after the 25 free ones that were given.. After clicking "Next" I received a CHARGE! "CONGRATULATIONS! 25 Free Bids + 136 BID STARTER PACKAGE $99.00 CHARGED!" Incredibly deceptive. Being sued by the FTC and different AG's around the country. STAY AWAY FROM GRABSWAG.COM IT IS A SCAM!!!!
I can only imagine what they would have charged had I accepted their additional "FREE" offer of the "auction advisor" I see others were charged over 300.00 so that may have been the difference.
I found a company who has collected info on them and is putting together a class action - e-mail : [email protected] for details.

This is the e-mail that was received linking me to their site after the seller claimed they did not have their Nike gift card anymore but did buy it here:

If your still trying to find one at a discount, i found mine at This Site

They still have the 4th of july promo for 10 free bids and i just signed up and won.

  • Hi Lisa,

The ad in question looks to me from an affiliate marketer. Like a lot of companies on the web, we rely heavily on affiliate traffic (from 3rd parties). This is a case of a bad affiliate. I would greatly appreciate it if you could email me privately the link you clicked on so that I can segment out the specific affiliate and kick them out of our affiliate network. My email is [email protected]

I can fully assure you that we are 100% not a scam and we do not have any lawsuits from AG's or the FTC. We maintain active good relationships with both. We are a real company, made up of real people, trying to make the best product possible for our users.

I am so sorry that your experience on the site was not a positive one. I can't help but think the deceptive way in which the affiliate marketer reached out to you played a large role. I think if you do in fact try out the site though you'll find it to be a really fun experience w/ a lot of great savings opportunities!

In case you decide it just isn't for you. I am including our customer support info below:

Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST
    (888) 467-4217

I hope I was of some help.

    Michael Andrews
    Chief Operating Officer, GrabSwag.com

  • I did some investigating into grabswag after being ripped off by these cronies and i found out who was behind this scam. GrabSwag.com, is a scam, partnered with a company called IMM Interactive/Copeac which is owned by Mike Krongel, which is a scam affiliate network that sends consumers to these sites via fake news articles and gets paid for it. If you click on one of the fake news sites that they are running below, and in internet explorer use webpage privacy, you will see emediatrack.com, on the privacy, which is owend by IMM Interactive/Copeac ( This is how I found out who was behind it). IMM Interactive and Mike Krongel has duped consumers out of millions of dollars says the FTC, by running fake news sites, like the one linked below, and they are currently being sued by the FTC, for false advertising and deceptive marketing practices, for using fake news websites like the one linked below. Here is a link to the lawsuit: http://www.ftc.gov/os/caselist/1023232/index.shtm

The FTC is trying to stop them but apparently can't. Lets get these people shut down!!! Report GrabSwag and IMM Interactive/Copeac, to the FTC, Attorney Generals, BBB, IC3, FBI and lets get a class action lawsuit going against both of these companies scambook!!!

Here is one of their fake news sites they are behind, which if you do webpage privacy in internet explorer on the grabswag page, you will see " emediatrack.com" which links you straight to Copeac/IMM Interactive: http://www.consumerinfonews.com/deals-of-the-century/index4.html

Here is a link to the IMM website and the grabswag site that says free, yet charges you $99 : http://www.imminteractive.?com
