Unbeknowenst to me, I "signed up" for Grabswag this morning when I was simply trying to get information on the site. After I hit the submit button, a "congratulations" page popped up with a charge for $99.00 for my starter pack and 10 free bids. I immediately call the number provided, waited 17 minutes on hold to talk to a person, then proceeded to attempt to cancel this order. Each time I told her (foreign-born; hard to understand) that I wanted to cancel, she put me on hold to talk to her "manager". When I asked to speak to her manager, she said he was on another call. Again, each time, she came back with a reduced cost - a one-time offer for me only. I finally agreed, after an additional 25 minutes on the phone with her, to accept her offer of a $24.75 price. The $99 was charged immediately to my credit card; the $74.25 will be refunded within 7 - 10 business days. This site is an absolute rip-off! I feel like a fool even agreeing to the $24.75 charge.

  • Lindsay, I think you and the person you complained to were not on the same page. I thought the same thing with the way they worded it when I complained. I wanted all of my money back so I demanded to speak to a higher up boss. He said he would up the refund to 50%, from the 25% refund the first lady offered. What I'm saying is, I think your refund is going to be $24.75, not $74.25.
