All this info was sent in a letter to which a check made out to my wife in the amount of $2345 was attached for the sole purpose of paying for "Government Taxes". But later in the letter it also says that the tax amount is "$1945.00" and is to be paid to a "tax agent" who is to be assigned to me by the time I call....sure.
They "urge" me to keep this winning "confidential"....I don't think so. After I finish this I intend to contact my Attorney Generals office as well as the US Post Office.
This whole thing stinks of mail fraud which I hope and think is a federal offense.
And the check looks very real. Its a ModusLink check drawn on a Bank of America account. ModusLink looks to be a very legitimate company. They look to be publicly traded. Their web site says they are "Supply Chain" experts.
I wonder if they know they might be involved in fraud.
