On a local used cars site, I found a car I was interested in. Over about the time span of a month, I talked with the guy who said he was in the USAF, and had the car in a AF warehouse, but was in Japan until August 25. I decided to buy the car from him, and we did the process through google checkout. To go through google checkout, I had to use a E-currency site (wm-center) to add funds into Liberty Reserve, to transfer them to google checkout. I did a bank wire to do all this, when it went through, My email just happened to be hacked into, so that I could not even get in contact with google checkout because that email was blocked by hotmail. So now, I can't even get into my email, I have no way to view my "order" on google checkout, and he will no longer answer his phone, email etc. so I am without a car, and 4500 dollars.

- Thank you for posting this scam. He tried exact same one on me for $3,000. He called me from (401) 384-0621. He uses "Liberty Reserve Account" for payment. His Invoice comes from "[email protected]" which, of course, is not google.com.

- Same guy, same scam, same bank, $4500 for a car he didn't have. I was fortunate that I sent a Cashiers Check which took 2 weeks to clear. This gave me time to ask more questions of myself and determine it was not legit. Google Checkout does NOT hold funds and does NOT take cash. They only deal with credit cards and payment is immediate!! BEWARE of this guy, stay away no matter how convincing the documentation. He called me from478-238-3403 a couple of times. He is relentless, and convincing.
