Complaint 45637 Details

One of my good friends told me about a loan center that contacted her 2 weeks ago. She always gets loans online so I listened to the deal that she was given. She had spoken to a man named William Pogue from Grantfield Loan Center. She told me that in order to get $5000 she would need to send them $767. Unfortunately she couldn't come up with the money so I spoke with William Pogue and he informed me that I could get $8000 if I sent the company 4 months of payment upfront through Paypal ($1000). He told me to go to Walmart and call him when I got there. When I got there he told me to get a Greendot MoneyPak card and take it to the teller and it would cost me $4.64 to load $1000 and by midnight I would have $8000 in my account. After I did it I felt weird and got on the internet and found this blog. This company is the same company. BRANTFIELD and GRANTFIELD ARE THE SAME COMPANY THIS IS A SCAM. Before I signed the contract I looked up their name Grantfield Loan Center and didn't find anything negative about them online. But with further searching i found out that these are the same guys they just changed the B in Brantfield to a G to make Grantfield. This morning I contacted William Pogue and informed him that i was on to his scam and he called me a snitch and since he has not answered any more of my phone calls. Fortunately I have the ability to bounce back from the scam, but many others cannot. I have contacted Greendot for a full investigation along with the FBI. The law will only do so much with one claim but if there are more victims this can become a high profiled case.
