Received letter dated 11/24/2011 stating that I had won $200,000.00 US from a drawing held on July 5, 2011. Enclosed was a "real" looking check for $4,956.20, drawn from a Key Bank National Association in Vermillion, Ohio. This check was to cover insurance and administration fees for the $200,000.00. Was to contact a Customer Care Rep named John Sanchez 1-778-323-5962 for verification of claim number. The letter was signed ERIC MORALES, Prize Award Administrator with the telephone number 1-778-323-6788 and fax number 1-847-223-4545.

At the bottom of the letter the following companies were listed:

Zellers
K-Mart
macy's
WalMart
Target
The Home Depot
Sears
BBB

The listing of these real companies, which, I assume, are not aware that their names are being used in this scam, can make one believe that this is real.

  • yeah...
I also got this same letter and check in the mail today!...for a minute I thought that maybe good things were FINALLY going to start coming to me..YEAHHHH RIGHT!!...deep inside I really DID want to believe that this was a REAL check (like the rest of us right???) and like the rest of you who got this letter and check, I was instructed in the letter to call someone by the name of Stanley Gomez .of course he swore that I had NOTHING to worry about that it was indeed NOT a scam and it really WAS a legitimate check...he told me I hadn't won the amount that the check was made out to but the real check in the amount of money that I did win would be in the mail and I should get it by friday..oh get this....the minute I told him I would have my lawyer look it over before I did anything with it, he got all excited and flustered and told me that there was NO reason to do that and that I had nothing to worry about, that I should just go ahead and deposit it in the bank..I just am thankful that I always listen to my inner voice and strong intuition first before I do anything..something inside told me that I should do a search online for this company in Ohio.and I came up with a link to this site telling all about the other people who got this same thing and that it was indeed ANOTHER scam! right now I can't tell you how disillusioned and devastated I was after I found out it WASN'T real cause God knows that if it were legit I would be able to use some of that money for xmas gifts and take care of some expenses and buy a few nice things for the house and myself..anyway I really am thankful that I couldn't deposit that check even if I wanted to because I don't even have a bank account!LOL
