Cars.com advertised a 2001 Honda Accord LX for 3000.00 to be sold by individual seller Deborah Williams. I entered my email information in Cars. Com to receive information about this car. I received an email back from Deborah Williams at (Personal Info Removed). She sent numerous emails answering my questions about the car and even sent additional pictures. When I told her I was interested she explained the Ebay process and that I would have 7 days to determine if I wanted the car when I received it. I said I would like to receive the car to check it out and then make the decision. She said the car was being sold for $2900.00 and I should receive on Sunday July 10, 2011. I received an invoice stating the seller, buyer, invoice #, and case # and that Western Union needed to receive the money before the car would be shipped. Cash was sent and Western Union charged an additional $191.00 for the transfer of the cash making a total of $3091.00 I had to pay. This cash was to be sent to Jose Juan (Personal Info Removed). He represented EBAY and his invoice had this return email address [email protected]. This email account does NOT exist. My husband contacted EBAY, & Western Union to determine we were scammed and they confirmed it tonight Monday July 11, 2011 that we were. NO car yet!
