I was offered a test drive in a new demo model BMW X5 by Dee Emmerick.
Upon arriving at the place where the vehicle was supposed to be handed over to me for the day, I was very surprised when Richard Michael, the sales manager, also unexpectedly arrived on the scene.
Michael, after talking to me for a while alone in the car, then asked me how much I could pay him to test drive the vehicle for a day.
I was absolutely dumbfounded and shocked by this scam.
After I refused to pay Michael any money, he became very rude and abusive.
I left the scene, understandably very shocked, and very angry.
I phoned BMW South Africa and telephonically submitted a complaint about this scam.
In more than a week, I have not had any feedback from BMW South Africa, whatsoever.
