I ordered canvas 2 years ago to make a tent. I made sure to order one that specifically said it was for tent making (Sunforger). Well 2 seasons of use later and it has completely changed color from mold and mildew (I got one with a finish that was supposed to resist that) and its rotting out in places with multiple holes. It looks terrible and is unusable now after this season. It started to get mildew after the first season of use and it was never that great at being water repellant. I contacted them about the poor quality and they finally told me after 2 months of emailing back and forth with pictures and samples of my tent that they wont do anything about it even though they initially said they would and that it should not have happened. My first tent I made this one to replace lasted 10 years and I know plenty of people with sunforger canvas tents that they got from other places that are holding up fine. I even have another sunforger canvas tent from a different source that is great. They told me that because the order is 2 years old all they can do is give me a %15 off a future order. I shouldn't have to be replacing this anytime soon, which they agree on, they just don't want to replace it. I fully believe they sent me the untreated canvas in stead of the sunforger like I ordered. because I ordered so much I got a discount which made the sunforger the same price as the untreated stuff, so I'm pretty sure they just looked at the price and sent me the wrong thing
