He contacted us wanting to know how much we needed to borrow, and claimed he was affiliated with Connected Investors of whom we were affiliated with. He needed a one time fee of $570 to process the application. Then he said we needed to get mortgage insurance for another $1260. After that, he claimed they needed more money to generate codes in order to transfer the loan amount. It was one thing after another until we finally said no, and we wouldn't pay another dime, and were not interested in the loan. Even afterwards, they still kept on bugging us. All the money transactions were done by wire transfers by money gram or Walmart to Walmart. We lost more than $13000.
