We contracted for Jones motors to pick up a Ford Transit Van from Akron OH to Anchorage AK. We previously dealt with this crew on several past occasions for the same move. We are a brokerage and they are supposed to be the carrier. This time around the carrier denied our credit due to a dispute the prior year although we have done 30 moves this year with the same carrier. When we were told that they wouldn't approve us credit- they went behind our back and approached our customer Transit Works and set up an account with them directly. Misleading our customer and making us look bad telling them we didn't pay our bills. When in all reality it was an ongoing dispute. Then out of the blue I get a call from my customer saying that they went over there and got loaded and then told the customer that they would have to get set up directly though them. They signed our contract that says the carrier can not solicit our customers- and they breached the contract and stole our customer.
