Bought a home in Florida - purchased many pieces of furniture from Doug Payne owner of Paynes Furniture Outlet and was promised delivery by May 1, 2017. Unfortunately we paid in full and got part of our delivery only on May 1st.
This is difficult to put into words but after many calls to PAYNES FURNITURE OUTLET with excuse after excuse why the rest of merchandise wasn't delivered yet and him getting hostile over the phone we called our credit card company and opened a dispute for $5589.00. I have spoken to approximately 9 different agents from the dispute dept. to no avail. Mr. Payne lied and said we canceled the rest of the deal, which we did not. He delivered an entertainment center that is damaged and not at all what we ordered (something out of the 80's) He actually said he was canceling the rest of our order and didn't want to deal with us anymore! So credit card gives him back the 5589.00. We had ordered a power reclining sofa at a cost of $1999.00 and that has never been delivered so I don't know how they gave him back all the money - so we are left with an old looking damaged entertainment center paid $899.00 for it. We are missing a nightstand to our $2700 bedroom set and have no Sofa. so now he has our money and our furniture that we are missing. I know this sounds confusing but the bottom line is I just want my night stand that goes with my bedroom set to be delivered and let him take back the wrong damaged entertainment center. He wants me to pay a restocking fee? Who waits more than 5 months for furniture delivery. Credit card company said they would pay entertainment center restocking fee and promises to call us back but never does. I just cannot deal with this Merchant again. He only gives store credits normally but after this exhausting ordeal l don't want anything to do with him. A credit at his store would put me right back at square one. I don't want the couch even if he says he has it at this point because it is a power reclining sofa and if that is damaged then I would have to work with him again. Please let me know what I can do.
