I took my vehicle in for a repair that was covered under warranty on 12/28/16. Was told they had to order the part and would call me when it came in to complete the repair. As of 7/14/17, I had never received a call (like the paperwork said they would) so I went to the service department to find out what the status was. Even though the paperwork clearly stated the problem, the part was ordered, and N/C (no charge) with being under warranty, apparently the part was NEVER ordered and now I'm being told it won't be covered under warranty since the warranty period is now expired. To which I replied, "well it was still under warranty when the problem was identified when I brought the vehicle in so it should still be covered under warranty." The person then said and I quote, "even though the part was ordered while the vehicle was still under warranty, if the part comes in after the warranty period is up, the part and service is no longer under warranty." WHAT???
