Scan started in 3-8-2017. It was a three day process. I was contacted by a woman and she told me that I was chosen for a government grant that I qualified for because I had no bankruptcy in 6 months, bills paid on time, etc. I was interested so I listened. She transferred me to a guy named Christian at 315-675-0323. He wanted $200.00 to process the grant. That sounded reasonable. He told me that they do no take money and use Apple I Tune cards. I've never used them before and didn't know much about them. He told me to try Walmart and that I was to use $100.00 cards. They didn't have cards this high though. So, I had to find a store that did have them. I did buy 2 and came home to call him back. He asked me to scratch off the back of the cards and to give him the numbers on the bar that was scratched. Then he talked to someone and came back to tell me that I would need $700.00 dollars more in Apple I Tune cards for fees and processing before the grant could go through because of the amount. So, I asked for email confirmation, but he told me to go to www.obama.net and that after the process was completed that I would receive papers, receipts and money returned to me in bonus amount with an insurance card that would help with medical costs for government insurance up to 50% and private insurance up to 11 %. I need to have surgery and this would be helpful....I guess that did help to influence the reason why I went along with this...It was very inconvenient to try and find these cards as not all stores carry $100.00 amounts. But, I was able to find them and did my part. Then I was transferred to another man in grant and banking department and his name was Edward Macintire. He said that I had the grant but that I needed to pay the taxes because it was a large amount and that I needed to pay with $1300.00 dollars of Apple I Tune cards. He also said that this would be returned to me in bonus money by certified FedEx mail within 48 hours. I also spoke to a supervisor named Josh Macintosh. He sounded just like Edward Macintire....same voice almost and same accent...India...maybe. I did have to go to a lot of different stores to get this amount...but on 3/10/2017...this process was complete. The grant money was to be delivered by Western Union. I had gone by money tree to get the Western Union slips and Edward said that he would tell me how to fill out the forms. He never did though. He gave me some numbers...but never followed through.I spoke to Edward Macintire at 315-203-3939 and Josh Macintosh at 202-478-1563. The deal was supposed to be concluded when Edward transferred me to the banker to release the funds...apparently through Bank of America. His name was Adam Hunt. His number was 315-203-3939 ext 6012. He wanted another $900.00 dollars in Apple I Tune cards to open a bank account in my name. I told him that I did not have any more money except for about $100.00 dollars. He did not want to do the Western Union thing and wanted to transfer money via US Bank or Bank of America. I preferred Bank of America. He did give me a routing number and an account number. But, I was able to get him to go for the $100.00 dollar card only as I was on SSI only and when I called him back...he never answered. I never did get my grant money. The Apple I Tune card numbers were all processed. I can't use them or get my money back on them because they were processed already. I do have my receipts and the cards. I stayed home all weekend and no one came to deliver my insurance card or bonus money either. There was no call to me on Monday 3/13/2017 and so I did try to call all three phone numbers...They all play music only....So, the scam is there and I am out $2200.00 dollars. The web site was there...my sister looked at it too. Adam Hunt talked to my sister and assured her that this was legit. This was an elaborate and well organized scam.
