Saw advertised on Amazon of all places. A clutch purse and a watch for $5.99. (If it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true!) I did not see the terms and conditions; of course I'm sure it was tiny print!).
I don't check my credit card account too often; only when I get my bill. I called the credit card company first. First thing they asked; did you sign up for a trial period for anything. Of course, I said, 'no'. They gave me the phone number to call this lousy scam organization. I told them, I told miss the terms and conditions which your company is based on for their scam, however, this lousy clutch purse is worth $98.95 and the watch is worth $98.95! Rep kept going back to trial period. I asked her how she would like to buy a loaf of bread for $35!! When I told her I was going to contact a lawyer, she immediately offered to give me a 35% refund on each item. Big deal. I should have said I'm going to contact our state Attorney General's Office because that is exactly what I'm going to do. I told her to send me the trial conditions. She said they are on www. When I plugged in www she gave me; first thing I got was this scam reporting page. Will see if there really is a site!!! I am also going to contact Amazon; they colluded with this scam! Do they want a bad name!!! Help!!
