I received a collect call from my brother-in-law from Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Tx. I accepted the call. We were on the phone for about 3 minutes. I gave the operator my debit card information and found that $39.75 had been charged for this 3 minute call. I was not given the rate for the collect before accepting it so I was unaware how much it would cost. This is outrageous.
