The company claims to be the "marketing department" for various international brands. The calls come through using a fake phone number (will start with the same digits of your local area). A recording says you have been selected blah blah blah. you can push 1 to go through - 2 to be placed on a "do not call list". which I did yesterday and was called back today.
The representative couldn't remember what his phone number was- but after prodding he gave me (800) 664-2321.
If you miss the call, and call back the random, locally appearing # - it routes to a real person, who has no idea what you are talking about and you look like an idiot - they are spoofing the caller ID of the call coming into you.
