I saw an ad online for a great deal of a revolutionary face cream for only $4.95 and I thought, what a great deal! When I was in the purchase screen, it asked me to add to eye serum for only $4.99, so I did, again thinking what a great deal! Both only totalled $9.95. This is all I authorized, $9.95; I received the receipt for this $9.95 in my email. About a week later, I checked my credit card statement and by chance noticed two charges from this company Luminesque, one for $84.99 and one for $84.95 - neither of which were authorized, and I was not informed about these charges in any way, not even a receipt was sent. I instantly called Luminesque wondering where these charges came from. They told me that I "approved" these charges when signing up for the $9.95 and that I was on a continous cycle of product and charges, unless I cancelled. I was very upset as a receipt was never sent for these two charges, and if I had not checked my credit card statement, I would have never known the charges existed as it was not openly displayed or communicated in my initial purchase. Trying to stay calm, I asked if I could refund for the product over the phone. I got a refund number, and on my own dollar, I returned the product to the USA. I called a few weeks later because I had not seen a refund back onto my credit card yet. When I spoke to them, they said it was received 1 day too late for a refund!! I thought this was absurd as I mailed it as soon as I found out these unauthorized charges. I spent an hour on the phone with the company and even spoke to a manager. They would not budge on the refund, and now I am out 197.73 USD with no product, not that it is a product I would ever trust or want at this point. DO NOT EVER BUY LUMINESQUE - it is a SCAM!
