Received an unknown call from a middle eastern sounding man named Michael Johnson from US government grants and said that I had been selected to receive $9800 from the government because I was in good standing and have paid my bills on time and have never filed bankruptcy. Asked me if I wanted to receive the $9800 by money gram or western union gave me a money confirmation ID number. Told me to call 202-888-4016 and to give them the money confirmation ID and that my $9800 would be available for me through Western Union within 15 to 20 minutes. He asked three questions to verify my identity , which were my age if I was employed and if I was married or single. When I was hesitant about answering questions he told me that I sounded like I was scared to take the money and asked me why and I told him there were a lot of scams out there and he reassured me continuously that this was not a scam .. He asked me what I planned to do with the money once I receive it & told me I should use it in a legal way like for education or paying bills etc. He told me to call the 202 number and if it was busy to hang up and wait 5 to 10 minutes and call back again and repeat until I got in touch with someone to give them my money confirmation ID. I did call but it was busy. Then I decided to pull up the number online and saw all the other complaints, so here's mine..
