Antwaun Sumpter of HS Investments

I am to putting out this warning on a guy who goes by Antwaun Sumpter. When communicating with sellers he pretends to be an employee for the company HS Investments. He will purport that, on behalf of his employer, he will make an offer on a house to purchase it from the seller. The seller will go on to believe that HS Investments as a "Buyer" has legitimately made an offer on their house to "buy it". Antwaun will then list the property for sale, as if pretending to be the seller, on various websites or promote for sale to other investors. At times, there have been sellers who have found out their property is being listed for sale or promoted for sale to others without their (the seller's) knowledge or consent.

I'm not sure what scam this fall under but, Antwaun is a very shady person. It was discovered that he is not an employee of HS Investments, he is the owner. Among other real estate investors, it is well known that he is a wholesaler, however, that is not how he presents himself to a seller. I can't be sure if his goal is to pretend to be the seller in order to collect earnest money deposits, or what his end game is. However, he is doing something shady and it concerns me and also concerns other local sellers that I've been in communication with who have crossed paths with Antwaun Sumpter. Be careful if you choose to do business with him and make sure you keep an eye on everything he does.
