A pop up blocked my computer and told me it was infected. I called the number and gave Spyhook remote access to my computer to fix the issue. They charged me $499 for lifetime support and $399 for a warranty on their work. They suggested I pay by check, so I gave them my account through an e-check. It took about an hour for them too scan my computer and install their Malware software. Almost immediately afterwards I felt I had been scammed. I stopped payment on the check and reported the company to the FTC. I also Uninstaller the Malware and changed all my passwords. Hope I caught it in time. They sound very con Vining on the phone, but I'm glad I listened to my gut and hope no one else gets taken in by this scam.
