Someone called my husband and said he won $2000 and a gift card, but they needed a void check and our routing number. Luckily he didn't have that information because I keep all of that with me. I came home and he asked me for the checkbook because he said they were trying to get a hold of him for a week now and they just need the routing number and a check number. I told him no and that if he won something, they could mail him a check. I also called my bank and asked them about this. They verified that I should not give this info.
