Firstly, I'm not clear if there is a difference between Mayas service UG, mayas services GmbH or mayas services tech support. Last year, I had some problems with someone hacking my Paypal account and my amazon account being frozen. So, I called hotmail who gave me mayas services number (although I was not aware it was another company until about an hour into the phone call). I paid them a load of money to clear my computer and restore my Amazon account...I was desperate. After many hours they did it. I had no more problems. Today they contacted me saying that my computer was flagging up as at risk and that they needed to run a check. Given that last time they solved my problem and I had already paid for continuous protection, I allowed them to remotely access my computer. They showed me how my computer was infected and needed sorting out. So far so good...then they spring on me that to download the software needed I'd have to pay £325 as it didn't belong to their company. I said then that I had no money and I wasn't going to pay any money. They then asked me how much I could pay and I said 'nothing'. Then they said they spoke to their manager and they could offer it to me for £203. I said again that I could not afford it. They then restarted my computer and (magically) I could not get in my computer...it wouldn't accept my password. I was fuming... I told them that I was disgusted that now I was being forced to pay in order to regain access to my computer. They reassured me that it was nothing that they had done but the hackers.
I feel violated! Conned into a scam...although at times I still think, maybe those Russian hackers really have it in for me!?
