I received a message at 'icloud.com' that my computer may have been compromised and I should call Apple at a linked number. I did not call the linked #. Instead I called apple apple tech support at the number with which I am familiar. I mentioned that I called this number because I did not recognize the linked one and the responder said that was a smart thing in light of the many scammers out there. He to used the apple permission software to share my
desktop so he could help me resolve the issue. He had me do a scan and came up with the answer that there was a dangerous new malware at large and he would need to offer protection from a source outside of apple at a cost of $199.99 for 3 months but if I took the offer for 2 years it would cover my computer for life. Thus I was swindled, 'wefixLLC' s telephone is never available and there is no response to messages. My bank says that I must follow up my request for refund because the fix they claimed to have done left me with a pop-up that wont go away.
