I went online to purchase printer drivers and I was immediately referred to another party- presumably an off shore tech. He said they needed to take control of my computer and started a series of file cleansing and systems evaluations. This continued for 2.5 hours and I could not regain control of the computer. I was held "hostage" by the tech and concerned he was stealing all my computer date which he may have done.
Along the way he kept asking for permission to run the tests- I agreed because I was frightened and wanted control back. Finally after several hours he returned me to Avengate . I consented to a $39 fee and later it was billed as $139. The drivers were installed at the end almost instantly and I think that fee was $39. Not included in the above. I did not agree to renewal terms on the Avengate package but now after a year and 4 months I got a bill on a DIFFERENT credit card than originally billed. I billed originally on Master Card and the new bill was on a new card of Chase Visa Freedom. I don't know how they got that number.

On the original charges I felt I had no recourse because I had agreed under duress to allow the tests and the services hoping to get access of my computer back.

This was a terrible experience. I never used the AVengate sevices they downloaded to me. I felt they had probably put cookies into their software, and now I'm reliving the experience over a year later with the new charge.
The 5-29-15 bill was for $449.99 and included the
driver charges of approx. $39. and the new bill in
September of 2016 was $129. or $139.
