An unsolicited call first from a woman at 212-666-3456 was made to me. Told me that I'd been selected to receive a Federal Grant for $9,800. No taxes would be imposed on the money and that it would be sent within the same day. Suspect because they required my banking information for the deposit. An approval ID was given to me. I was asked to call another number 202-888-4016. I was instructed to call the 2nd number to provide my approval code which would authorize the grant transfer to me. The man who answered asked for $250 for an online registration. Again, suspect because this was an unsolicited call. He claimed that the Health and Human Services had selected my name for this grant based on good standing with the Federal Government. Money or financial information was not provided to them.
