I was called on 9/8/2016 at about 11::25 a.m., and told that since I did not show up for my Jury Duty date, which was 8/9/2016, that there was a warrant out for my arrest. In order to post a bond I would need to purchase go to my financial institution and get the funds and go to my local Kroger to purchase 4 Green Dot Money Pak cards, 3 in the amount of $500.00 and 1 in the amount of $476.00. This person remained on the phone with me the entire time that I was making this purchase. After I purchased these cards I was to scratch off the gray on the back of the card and read to him the numbers. He also told me I needed to purchase 2 additional cards, at which time I told him that I did not have any more money. I was told that I would get the money back and that I needed to come 1200 Baker Street and report to Room 101. When I arrived there I was told, by a deputy, that it was the County Jail at the Sheriff's Dept., and that's when I was told that it was a scam. I then reported it to the sheriff's Dept. at that time.
