June of last year I saw a 08 Jeep Wrangler with 38,000 miles on craigslist for $15,000. I responded and in only about 2 minutes I got a call from a girl named Anna. She told me it was like new. Off I went, It was raining when I got there, The sales man told me no it`s been sold, then he said have a seat and I will see what we have. after a long wait he came back with a 08 Jeep with 38,000 miles?????. It was raining so I made the test drive short. Then in side
he wood leave me for a while then come back and ask me somthing then leave, while waiting I went out side to have another look, that happend twice. each time I went out to have another look he would stop me , the 3rd time it was gone. then after about 5 times of leaving me alone he did a repete, I said you already ask that once, He said I will take you in to the finance manager. There I met Gordon, He had me sign papers, I was reading papers then I would sign, then he handed me 4 papers that I had already signed about 12 of the same thing, I ask why are you giveing me the same papers over and over again, he said we need a lot of coppies, After about 1 1/2 hours of me signing papers he handed me another paper, He did not call it the main contract, he said it was an itemized list of the other papers i had signed, I asked where do`s it say how much I am paying for the Jeep, he said we have dealership fees and we run it through the service department and they check every thing to make sure it is road werthy. He pointed to a place on the cotract and his index finger was bouncing up and down. it was a little over $16,000.00 , the drive to my house to get my other tradin, I asK why is the right winshield wiper not working? the sales man said its turned off, i said how do you turn it on? he said on this model I dont know, I just know you can turn it off. IT WAS RAINING , The next morning I went out side to look at my new jeep you could hear me yell for a mile, The shape it was in it had to have 200,000 miles on it. The oil was black it looked like maybe 20,000 miles on it, both driver seats ripped, glove compartment was full of water, as was spair tire compartment, water damage everywhere, the rod that holds the hood up fell off in my hand, i took it to a jeep dealership for a safety inspection, right rear bearing makes loud noise and the left front leaks, i had new bearings and seals installed all the way around. problems = bad shocks, roof leaks, numerus electric problems, if you charge a cell phone while driveing it will fry your cell phone (my cell phone, my grandsons tablet) need new front seats, one head lite loose, I ran out of gas 3 or 4 times with the gage showing over half a tank. I ran a check and found out it came from the U.S. Virgin Islands, i could not get records beyound that. Then I took a look at the contract, Not $15,000 It was $19,200.00 It was a waist of time calling the d#%@#$%&$.S
