I'm 61 years old wanting to buy my dream car before I retire. I did a lot of car research and thought I liked the 2015 Jeep Cherokee the best. I had a pretty good down payment plus I traded in a 2005 Wrangler, which T&C sold within days of me trading it. Again, the dealership made money. The Jeep Cherokee had less than three thousand miles on it when the axle went out. T&C fixed it. Right after that, my transmission started slipping a LOT and clunking when I put it in reverse and also when I'd take off from stop lights or any stop sign. Slipping and clunking. After leaving my car with them for two different stints of a week each and numerous conversations with my sales person, the man who helped me finance the car in that office, T&C's solution was for me to come in and trade it for something else, (thus losing all the money I'd put down -- another sale for them of course). They WOULD NOT fix the transmission or replace it, EVEN THOUGH I'd spent 3,451.00 on warranties. The car wasn't even 6 months old. I've been under severe emotional distress over all this. I've cried and cried and I've stressed and stressed over this. I've had continual talks with the sales man and many of my friends. I had a meeting with Jerome, the sales manager, with NO help. He made me feel like a complete idiot. I'm a woman - remember? That place takes advantage of women, like so many others. I keep reassuring him that I wouldn't have come in and complained about ANYTHING if there was NOTHING wrong with the vehicle. Everyone that drove in my car with me felt what I was feeling. I'm very serious when I say I've been under emotional stress, and a LOT of it. I've been in tears. When I drive by the place now my heart races. I had to stop in the stop on Saturday to turn in some paperwork to get some of my money back from the warranty. I thought I was going to pass out in there, I was so distraught. I HAD to get out of there and when I got back in my car, I had to sit and calm down before driving away. NO ONE CARES IN THAT PLACE. Do yourself a FAVOR - NEVER deal with Town and Country Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler. It'd the shoddiest service department ever. They're not fair in there. They treat women like they're idiots. The place is incompetent. That transmission should have been switched with NO PROBLEM. It shouldn't have been a big deal. The customer is supposed to be right. I don't complain about things are aren't so....

The sales person drove the car too. He KNEW it was a bad tranny. They wouldn't listen to him and they wouldn't listen to me. I'm sure he was worried about his job, certainly NOT worried about my state of mind.
I work two jobs to afford to take care of myself. It isn't easy losing that much money to anyone.

The best (WORST) part of my story is - not two months after I traded my Cherokee off, the new owners got a new transmission in it by the dealer that sold me the new car.
